Whether as a manager, developer, coach or author, a common theme to what I’ve done throughout my career has been helping teams make “better software… faster”. Working with a wide variety of clients on very small to impossibly large projects, remains my principal source of education - outweighing various degrees and certifications I’ve also picked up along the way! Thinking deeply about business problems and finding the intersection with how people best work together, is where I find the fun - and the value - lies. I recently co-authored "Essential Kanban Condensed" with David Anderson, a short guide to the broad range of subjects that make up the Kanban method.

Hi, my name is Florian, I am a self-employed Kanban consultant from Germany. I’ve been working with agile teams for a good 10 years now, in all kinds of roles. I found out that Scrum isn’t the only way to become more agile and I now help my customers create their own solution with all kinds of models – mostly based on Kanban. Although my mom once asked me: “Seeing the stuff you do now, why did you go and study computer science in the first place?”, I am still heavily based in IT organisations and do enjoy a good architecture discussion over budget discussions. But overall, my customers want me to help them flip their organisations – via agile transformations or a good Kanban implementation. Apart from my work, I like to go for walks with my dog, ride my motorcycles and enjoy the time with my family.
